The official arrival of Laserworld in Argentina marks another step in the German company’s expansion strategy across Latin America. Together with Elecom, the brand aims to combine cutting-edge technology, local support, and specialized training to bring professional laser lighting solutions to the market while supporting the growth of a discipline that is becoming increasingly present in live shows, events, and permanent installations.

Laser lighting has earned an increasingly important role in live entertainment, corporate events, and large-scale international productions. Its technological evolution has expanded applications, improved the precision of visual effects, and opened new creative possibilities for lighting designers and producers. Within this context, Laserworld continues advancing its growth strategy in Latin America with a new milestone: the appointment of Elecom as its official distributor in Argentina.

This appointment is part of a regional expansion plan launched by the company over the past year, aimed at strengthening its presence in strategic markets through a network of distributors capable of providing technical support, product availability, and close assistance to professionals in each country.

“It is part of the Laserworld Group’s plan to expand throughout Latin America. This expansion strategy, which began last year, now brings us to Argentina,” says Fabián Mercado, Sales and Technical Support Manager for Latin America, Spain, and Portugal at Laserworld.

The company develops its technology in Germany and manufactures its solutions across several production facilities worldwide, maintaining a portfolio specifically designed for professional applications within the entertainment industry.

A Partnership Designed to Develop the Market

The addition of Elecom represents much more than a new distribution channel.

With 45 years of experience, the Argentine company has built a strong presence in the professional lighting and audio markets, expertise it now aims to bring to the laser lighting segment.

“We saw Laserworld as a brand with international recognition and a portfolio of high-end products. For Elecom, representing the brand in Argentina is both a new challenge and an opportunity to continue expanding our offering for the professional market,” says Pablo Comersi, Commercial Manager at Elecom.

The decision also reflects the company’s assessment of the local market.

“What appealed to us most was the opportunity to target a different segment from what currently exists, where lower-quality laser products dominate, and to reach lighting professionals and designers looking for a higher-quality solution for medium- and large-scale productions.”

During the initial phase of the project, Elecom will introduce the CS, DS, and ScanBar product lines, while the rest of the portfolio will be added progressively according to demand in the Argentine market. Some products are already available, while others will arrive over the coming weeks.

For Laserworld, having a local presence is essential to supporting the brand’s growth.

“Having a distributor in the country who also provides local technical support is essential to reaching potential customers. It allows any issue to be resolved much faster. At the same time, Laserworld provides continuous support to help them grow,” explains Mercado.

That support will be one of the cornerstones of the partnership.

Elecom plans to organize product demonstrations both in Buenos Aires and throughout different provinces across the country. Mendoza will be one of the first cities where the company will officially introduce the brand, bringing the technology closer to rental companies, lighting designers, and professionals throughout the industry.

Much More Than Adding a New Brand

One aspect both companies emphasize is that developing the market requires much more than simply making products available. Technical education and continuous support have been integral parts of the project from the very beginning.

“As part of our expansion throughout Latin America, we also want to educate professionals about laser lighting, which is a highly specialized field. We are organizing seminars for lighting designers and anyone interested in this technology,” says Mercado.

Elecom will support this initiative by applying a methodology that has long been part of the company’s identity.

“Our goal is to provide training, consulting, and the same level of after-sales technical support that we have been offering for the past 45 years with every brand we represent. For us, that is essential,” says Comersi.

Training, Safety, and a Long-Term Vision

Training will go far beyond commercial presentations and product demonstrations. Both Laserworld and Elecom believe laser lighting requires specialized knowledge to ensure not only the best visual performance but also the safe and responsible use of the technology.

“We will support lighting designers in every possible way, from technical assistance to artistic guidance on how to use lasers, while also covering every aspect related to safety,” says Mercado.

This approach will also extend to working closely with rental companies, design studios, and professional lighting designers, making a technology that has so far had only limited presence in the Argentine market more accessible.

The initiative also includes a unique differentiator within this segment: access to certification programs developed by Laserworld’s own academy in Switzerland.

“We are not focused solely on the commercial side. We believe laser lighting is a very specialized field because there are regulations to comply with and knowledge that operators must acquire in order to work safely. Through our academy in Switzerland, we provide certifications in the countries where they are required, and here in Argentina we will also be able to deliver that knowledge so everything operates within a safe environment, beyond the artistic aspects of using laser technology,” says Mercado.

For Elecom, this philosophy aligns naturally with the way the company has operated for more than four decades.

The company believes that after-sales support is just as important as adding new technologies to its portfolio, especially when serving a professional market where reliability and technical support can be decisive for every project.

An Investment in the Future of the Market

Adding Laserworld also gives Elecom the opportunity to expand its presence within the professional lighting segment.

“With this type of product, we want to reach professionals looking for something different in terms of quality, durability, and robustness,” says Comersi.

With a local distribution network, training initiatives, technical support, and a portfolio that will continue expanding according to market demand, both companies are entering a new phase aimed at establishing professional laser lighting as an increasingly important solution for productions and projects throughout Argentina.
