The evolution of the entertainment industry demands increasingly integrated solutions capable of responding to the needs of theaters, television studios, broadcast productions, corporate events, and live shows. Based on this premise, ETC continues expanding its ecosystem of lighting, control, and rigging technologies, consolidating a proposal that ranges from automated luminaires to complete infrastructure systems for stages and studios.

Jaime Friedstadt, ETC and High End Systems representative for Latin America and the Caribbean, reviewed some of the most relevant solutions currently part of the company’s portfolio, reflecting the technological direction the brand has been driving in the region.

One of the pillars of this proposal is the High End Systems automated luminaire line, led by the Halcyon family, a series developed to respond to different levels of demand in professional applications.

“The Halcyon line includes different models that allow adaptation to various light output requirements and specific applications,” explained Friedstad.

The range is composed of the Halcyon Silent, Halcyon Gold, Halcyon Platinum, and Halcyon Titanium models, each designed to offer different levels of power and performance. Within this family, Silent stands out for operating without fans, a feature especially valued in environments where noise must be kept to a minimum, such as theaters, television studios, and recording spaces.

One of the most interesting developments within this platform is the possibility of integrating cameras directly into the luminaires.

“The luminaires can incorporate cameras that allow recording what happens on stage or be used as tracking systems controlled from the console,” noted Friedstad.

This integration responds to an increasingly present trend in the industry: the convergence of lighting, video, and automation within the same operational workflow.

The High End Systems proposal also includes solutions aimed at theatrical and television applications. Among them, Lonestar stands out, a compact luminaire designed for productions where size, versatility, and precision are key factors.

“Lonestar is one of our most compact luminaires for theater and television, offering approximately 15,000 lumens of output,” he detailed.

The ecosystem is also complemented by the brand’s control platforms, including consoles and wings with motorized faders designed to adapt to different programming and operational environments.

At the same time, High End Systems continues developing high-performance wash solutions aimed at outdoor applications and large-format events.

“The wash luminaires feature independently programmable LED engines and IP54 rating for working outdoors and in demanding weather conditions,” highlighted Friedstad.

But ETC’s vision goes far beyond automated luminaires. Within its proposal for television and broadcast, the company maintains a strong presence with a wide range of LED solutions specifically designed for studios, recording sets, and audiovisual production.

“The offering includes LED fresnels, panels in different sizes, and ellipsoidals that share the same color technology platform,” expanded Friedstad.

One of the most outstanding aspects is the chromatic system developed by ETC, available both in the Lustr X8 platform and in the Studio HD solutions.

“Our systems allow work with a wide chromatic range thanks to advanced color engines that offer extremely precise reproduction for professional applications,” he assured.

The LED panel family also responds to different production scales, with models capable of reaching output levels ranging from 20,000 to 60,000 lumens, accompanied by a wide variety of accessories to adapt each configuration to the specific requirements of every project.

Another segment where ETC maintains a prominent position is stage infrastructure. The company continues developing motorized rigging systems for television studios, auditoriums, and theaters, with customizable configurations according to the needs of each installation.

“The rigging systems can be manufactured according to the specific requirements of each project, both in load capacity and electrical connectivity, DMX, and data transmission,” confirmed Friedstad.

This flexibility allows the integration of solutions adapted to different production environments, from small studios to large-scale stage complexes.

Beyond each individual product, ETC’s current proposal reflects a strategy based on technology integration. Conventional lighting, automated luminaires, control, video, tracking, broadcast, and rigging converge within the same ecosystem capable of supporting the needs of an industry in constant transformation.

With an offering that ranges from the stage to the infrastructure that supports it, ETC continues consolidating a vision where innovation, versatility, and reliability work together to respond to the challenges of professional entertainment in Latin America.
