USA – QSC announced today that its KC12 “K Column” Active 3-Way Column Loudspeaker System has won in the Sound Reinforcement Loudspeakers category at the 41st Annual NAMM TEC (Technical Excellence & Creativity) Awards, held during The NAMM Show, January 20–24, 2026, in Anaheim, California.
The NAMM TEC Awards are the premier honor in the professional audio industry, long recognized as the standard for technical achievement, celebrating innovation and excellence in the products and individuals shaping the future of professional sound. Past winners have included legends such as Les Paul, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, and The RZA.
The KC12 has earned widespread industry recognition as a pioneering 3-way, 3000-watt active loudspeaker system that brings the visual appeal of a column loudspeaker together with a performance profile engineered to meet the needs of modern portable and installed sound applications. Utilizing a 3-way setup featuring QSC’s patented LEAF™ waveguide (first introduced in L Class Active Line Array Loudspeakers) along with a true 1-inch compression driver, two 4-inch midrange drivers, and a high-output 12-inch subwoofer, the KC12 delivers full-range horizontal coverage of 145 degrees and 35 degrees of audience-focused vertical coverage with clear, natural sound at any volume. These characteristics have helped the KC12 gained popularity among a diverse range of customers and applications—from solo performers, musicians, and bands to mobile entertainers, DJs, corporate AV, event producers, and permanent installations.
“QSC is very grateful to the pro audio, live event and music industry professionals who selected the KC12 as a NAMM TEC Award winner,” states Ray van Straten, VP of Brand, Marketing & Training at QSC Audio. “Just like our first K Series helped elevate customers’ expectations for performance, quality, reliability, usability, and professional appearance, the K Column represents our continued effort to advance what users can expect from portable PA products.”
