ONSITE | NAB 2026 – Las Vegas
From the NAB Show, the MMT Chile team positioned itself at one of the key points of the exhibition: the Blackmagic Design booth. There, the Australian company showcased a strong vision of the present and future of broadcast, based on fully integrated workflows under the IP 2110 standard, with a clear premise: maximum performance without compromising accessibility.
Mauricio Rojo, representative of MMT Chile, toured the main highlights, focusing on this paradigm shift. “Without a doubt, what Blackmagic Design is showing at NAB 2026 does not go unnoticed: Constellation IP under 2110, with uncompressed workflows of up to 100G that raise the broadcast standard,” he explained, establishing the central axis of the proposal.
More than isolated products, what the brand presents is a complete ecosystem: cameras, switchers, routers, storage, and processing working in a coordinated way within the same architecture. “All workflows are associated with the 2110 IP protocol, allowing signals of up to 12K and even 17K to be handled natively and without compression,” Rojo detailed, reinforcing one of the key points: uncompressed workflows over IP infrastructure.
This approach redefines the traditional broadcast logic, eliminating bottlenecks and enabling the transport of large volumes of data through fiber optics with bandwidths of up to 100G. The result is a more efficient, flexible environment prepared for the current demands of live production.

Within this ecosystem, one of the most impactful points was the new generation of cameras aimed at live production. “Today it is possible to have cameras that allow working in 12K at up to 440 frames per second, using fiber for live productions,” explained Rojo, showing how Blackmagic pushes real operational environments to the limit.
At the same time, the brand presented switching solutions designed for large-scale setups. The ATEM 4ME+ systems increase processing capacity within the production workflow. “They are switchers with up to 80 inputs, capable of working in 4K and providing solutions for any need of a large broadcaster, but at a much lower cost compared to other alternatives on the market,” he noted, highlighting one of the brand’s historical differentiators.
At the image processing level, Blackmagic strengthens its proposal with specific tools such as the Ultimate 12, aimed at high-resolution chroma key. “It is a very low-cost device that allows chroma key in 12K with a very high level of detail and realism,” he added, consolidating the idea of access to high-level technology without traditional economic barriers.

The growth of these workflows also requires an evolution in data management, and that is where the development of Media Cloud comes in. “Now we can manage 2110 IP workflows, in 12G and with bandwidths of up to 100G through storage and cloud systems,” Rojo explained, adding, “storage undoubtedly stops being a passive element and becomes an active part of the ecosystem.”
But Blackmagic’s proposal is not limited to the present of broadcast. It also incorporates tools for the past: content preservation. The new Cintel G3 allows film material to be digitized in different formats. “It allows working with 16mm, 35mm, and 8mm material, facilitating the migration of historical content to digital platforms with very good quality.”
What is consolidated at NAB 2026 is not just a product line, but a philosophy: total integration, uncompressed workflows, and an ecosystem designed to operate as a single platform.

For MMT Chile, this scenario opens a concrete opportunity in the regional market. “Blackmagic develops advanced technology, but at a fairly reasonable cost. And that allows us to bring these solutions to the Chilean market, even for high-end clients who are already working in 4K, 2110, and high-level platforms,” explained Rojo.
That point is key: technology that was once reserved for large broadcasters is now becoming accessible to more players in the market. And that is where MMT’s role becomes strategic, bringing these tools to the local ecosystem with support, knowledge, and real application.
From NAB 2026, the message is clear: broadcast has stopped being a sum of equipment to become an integrated system. And in this new scenario, Blackmagic not only follows the evolution—it accelerates it. With uncompressed IP workflows, real scalability, and accessible costs, it redefines who can play in the high-end field.
And MMT Chile is already ready to bring that change to the market.
