Spain – Lighting control continues to evolve toward increasingly flexible, connected, and intuitive systems. In this direction, LightShark presents the new V1.6.0 version, an update that not only adds features, but also redefines the way users interact with the console and their working environment.

With a clear focus on workflow optimization and system integration, this new version introduces a series of tools designed to respond to the real needs of designers, operators, and technicians working in increasingly demanding environments.

One of the main focuses of this update is control over playbacks and executors. The addition of options such as “Ignore Solo” and “Flash Solo” allows for more precise management of live executions, offering greater freedom to the operator without compromising system logic. This is complemented by a new internal action to disable executors, expanding configuration possibilities in complex scenes.

Editing also receives significant improvements with the incorporation of the VDim function within the editor, a tool that provides greater control over intensity in dynamic contexts. This type of development directly targets a more agile workflow, where each adjustment can be made with greater precision and speed.

Another key point is the evolution of the scheduler. In this new version, not only has its behavior been optimized, but date and time visualization has also been incorporated, improving the management of scheduled events and facilitating their supervision in environments where automation is increasingly relevant.

At the patch level, the update introduces a fundamental improvement: it is now possible to visualize the manufacturer, model, and mode of each fixture directly in the window. This change, which may seem minor, represents an important step forward in terms of operational clarity, especially in projects with a large number of devices.

Integration with external systems is another of the pillars of this version. The addition of a new generic HTTP target, compatible with GET and POST requests, opens new possibilities for communication with other systems and platforms. This is complemented by the implementation of DMX-IN via ArtNet and sACN, allowing external signals to be merged with the console output, a key function in hybrid or collaborative configurations.

Along the same lines, each output universe can now receive its own input universe, which significantly expands flexibility in advanced configurations. In addition, the LS-Core gains a new capability by being able to operate as an ArtNet or sACN node, consolidating its role within the control ecosystem.

Cue management also evolves with the incorporation of automatic renumbering within Cue Lists, an improvement that streamlines the organization and editing of sequences without the need for constant manual intervention.

Another of the most relevant advances is the implementation of new OSC/UDP commands with real-time feedback. This allows users to query the status of the console, playbacks, and executors, opening the door to deeper integrations with external systems and advanced control environments.

At the same time, the update includes general improvements that directly impact the user experience. BPM accuracy has been optimized, the information available in ArtNet device polling has been expanded, and the behavior of the scheduler has been adjusted. Interaction between LS-1 and LS-Wing has also been refined, including clearer visual indicators when connecting devices, along with general improvements in interface consistency.

Beyond the list of new features, this update confirms the direction LightShark has been taking in recent years: developing a control platform that is not only powerful, but also adaptable, connected, and aligned with real user needs.

Version V1.6.0 is now available in the official LightShark community, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to continuous evolution based on market feedback.

In a context where integration, flexibility, and responsiveness define system performance, LightShark continues to strengthen its proposal with tools designed to simplify operation without limiting creativity.

Because today, control is no longer just about executing.

It is about adapting, integrating, and responding in real time.
