UAE – ETC continues to expand its sales and support structure across the Middle East and India with the appointment of Richard Burton as Field Project Coordinator.
In his new position, Burton will work alongside ETC Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East and India, Mark Larcombe, supporting customers and projects while helping to strengthen the company’s presence and relationships throughout the region.
Based in Dubai, Burton will operate from ETC Studio and travel across the UAE and other regional markets as required by individual projects. Located in Media City, Dubai, ETC Studio serves as a regional hub for training, events, product demonstrations and technical support.
Burton brings two decades of experience in the professional lighting industry to ETC, along with extensive technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Middle Eastern market. His relationship with ETC is also well established. Over the past several years, he has served as the company’s lead Eos trainer in the region, providing customers and professionals with training on the control platform.
His background also includes a period with ETC dealer Oasis Enterprises, where he held the position of Entertainment & Themed Environment Manager. This experience gave him valuable insight into both the needs of end users and the business from the distribution side.
Burton moved to the Middle East in 2015 and has since held a number of significant positions both within the region and internationally. His career includes working as lighting manager at Dubai Opera House, as well as professional experience at P.E.A.R.L. in London and the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman.
“We’re thrilled to have Rich on board,” says Mark Larcombe. “His experience, knowledge and previous work with ETC make him a natural fit and a highly valuable addition to both ETC and our customers.”
