USA – “Remember, light and shadow never stand still.” The famed British-American painter Benjamin West advised. That was over 200-years ago, but the words ring as true today as ever. Witness the bold original concepts that have been reshaping lighting design of late. CHAUVET Professional’s internationally celebrated COLORado PXL series of motorized battens has been at the forefront of this revolution, opening the door to dynamic new multi-layered designs.
Now, the company has taken another major step as it leads the way in reshaping design with the introduction of the COLORado PXL Curve 5. The latest addition to the PXL Curve system, the new fixture features five individually controllable 120W LED heads in arced housing for unique, flowing arrays of sweeping light on an impressively massive scale.
Compatible with other fixtures in the PXL series, the new IP65-rated all-weather motorized batten provides designers with a fully scalable visual vocabulary, allowing them to move from architectural structures, to dynamic, multi-layered lighting that immerses on a deeper level than ever.
The COLORado PXL Curve 5 features motorized 200-degree pan and 60-degree tilt, plus a wide 5.7 to 36.3 zoom range. It maintains seamless pixel pitch even when multiple fixtures are used together. And a series of color-metrically matched RGBW LEDs ensures excellent color blending within the fixture, as well as with other COLORado PXL products.
Opening the way to even more creative possibilities, the COLORado PXL Curve 5 features WW and CW LED heads along with its three RGBW heads. There are eight sections of control for the warm white and cool white strobe cells. All cells are fully pixel-mappable and are easily controlled via DMX, sACN and Art-Net. They are RDM supported as well.
From creating pixel mapped runway effects, to sending sweeping waves of color across arena and festival stages, to breaking up designs with stunning linear looks, to adding immersive layers to any design, the COLORado PXL Curve 5 is ready to expand creative horizons. So indeed, light and shadow never stand still, and neither does CHAUVET Professional as the company explores new ways to help designer take their vision to the next level.
