Colombia – In an audiovisual market that continues to grow at a rapid pace, Yamaki AVI Experience 2026 brought together manufacturers, integrators and international specialists in Bogotá to showcase how integration, control and technology applied to live experiences are redefining the future of the industry in Colombia and Latin America, with Chauvet Professional, ChamSys and Yamaki leading that evolution.
The audiovisual and entertainment industry in Colombia is undergoing an accelerated transformation. The growth of concerts, the expansion of corporate projects and the need to integrate increasingly complex solutions are redefining the professional market throughout the region.
In this context, the second edition of Yamaki AVI Experience 2026 brought together international manufacturers, integrators, rental companies, designers and industry professionals to present new technologies focused on audio, video, lighting, control and integration.
But beyond the product showcase, the event revealed something deeper: how Colombia is beginning to position itself as one of the most technologically advanced markets in Latin America.
“Since the pandemic, the entertainment market in Colombia has experienced significant growth and an important boom,” explained Oswaldo Rueda, CEO of Yamaki Business Group.
“Today in Bogotá there are several venues hosting three or four concerts simultaneously during the same weekend, and the same thing is happening in Medellín, Cali and along the Atlantic Coast,” he added.
For Yamaki, that growth was also a clear sign of internal transformation. An evolution that led the company to move beyond the traditional musical retail model and become a much broader ecosystem.
“More than twelve years ago, Yamaki restructured itself by creating three business verticals: musical retail, integrated systems, and professional audio, video and lighting,” stated Rueda.

An event designed to bring technology closer to the market
The 2026 edition of AVI Experience also had a special component: the celebration of Yamaki’s 40th anniversary, a company that began by manufacturing amplifiers by hand and today represents more than 30 international brands.
“We started by building amplifiers manually and sourcing electronic components from local stores. That forced us to create a distribution network throughout the country,” recalled Rueda.
Over the years, that network became one of the company’s greatest strengths.
“Part of our history also led us to understand that every business must evolve, and the entertainment industry has been no exception,” he acknowledged.
It was under that philosophy that Yamaki AVI Experience was created: a platform designed to bring real technology closer to the Colombian and Latin American markets.
“What we seek is to bring our users, integrators, distributors and partners the latest technological advances in our industry,” summarized Rueda. He also highlighted the importance of creating this type of event within South America, a region where major specialized technology trade shows are still scarce.
During this edition, AVI Experience featured more than 25 technological experiences related to Yamaki’s different business areas: corporate integration, artificial intelligence, videoconferencing, stadiums, entertainment and professional AV systems.
All of this transformed the event into much more than a technology showcase. It functioned as a meeting point where manufacturers, users and integrators could experience real solutions in a much more practical and accessible environment.

Chauvet and ChamSys facing an increasingly integrated market
Within that ecosystem, the participation of CHAUVET Professional and ChamSys clearly reflected the direction in which the lighting and control industry is currently moving.
For Stephane Gressier, International Sales Director at CHAUVET Professional, being part of AVI Experience represents a combination of human connection, technological development and community building.
“We are here celebrating Yamaki’s 40th anniversary, a legacy that is truly admirable. We are very grateful for the opportunity to support our distributor,” he commented.
The relationship between Chauvet and Yamaki now spans more than 14 years, consolidating a long-term partnership within the Colombian market.
“It is an honor to represent the brand alongside such a strong team in Colombia,” added Gressier.
During the event, Chauvet presented fixtures such as Storm 1 Flex, Strike V and Color Strike M, while ChamSys showcased everything from QuickQ and Compact consoles to Stadium platforms and Genetics-based distribution solutions.
For Diego González, Product Specialist for ChamSys in Latin America, AVI Experience provided an opportunity to showcase the complete ecosystem of solutions that the brand currently offers to the Colombian market.

“We are presenting all the solutions available within the ChamSys family for the Colombian market, undoubtedly a broad portfolio that adapts to the wide range of local shows,” said González.
Beyond the touring focus, González also highlighted the growth of integration and signal distribution solutions as a fundamental part of current technological development.
That vision appeared repeatedly throughout the event: lighting no longer operates in isolation. Today it must coexist with networks, automation and hybrid workflows.
“The strongest trend we see today, in addition to the touring and concert market, is integration,” confirmed Gressier.
He added: “Chauvet, ChamSys and the entire group are bringing solutions that simplify installations and help elevate the quality of shows and lighting projects.”

Listening to the user as part of development
One of the most interesting aspects highlighted by the voices at AVI Experience was the importance that brands currently place on direct contact with users and integrators.
For Gressier, this type of event is essential to understanding where the industry is heading.
“Above all, what matters is people,” he shared. “We work in a creative world, so it is extremely important to engage in conversations and maintain dialogue with users of lighting fixtures and control systems.”
According to him, this exchange directly impacts the future development of products and software.
“If there is one thing we do very well, it is listening to our customers in order to continue improving new products and future updates. It is important to look toward the future, but integration is fundamental within our field,” summarized Gressier.
The presence of manufacturers, specialists and distributors also helped bring technologies into a much more practical and collaborative environment.
And perhaps that is the true value of Yamaki AVI Experience 2026: not only showcasing technology, but also consolidating a space where Colombia is beginning to lead a new regional conversation about integration, entertainment and increasingly connected audiovisual experiences.
