Argentina – A key event on the first day of the CAPER SHOW 2026 Academic Program will be a roundtable discussion featuring engineers Ana Eliza Faria e Silva (Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Technology at Globo, Brazil) and Eduardo Bayo (Technical Manager at Artear, Argentina). The session will be moderated by Dr. Fernando Moura, editor of the magazine published by SET, the organization presenting the proposal. The discussion will focus on the evolution of TV 3.0 / DTV+ in Brazil following the launch of commercial operations during the FIFA World Cup in June 2026, highlighting technical advancements, transmission infrastructure, signal reception, and initial experiences with 4K content, immersive audio, and interactivity. Drawing on results from the experimental phase and early commercial trials, the session will provide an overview of the implementation process and the challenges associated with expanding this new generation of digital television. The second part of the session will address the evolution of TV 3.0 in Argentina, featuring participation from Artear and a presentation on progress made through their trials and testing. This will allow for a comparison of the processes in Brazil and Argentina, an examination of the relevant technical and regulatory aspects, and a discussion on the next steps for adopting DTV+ in the region. The activity will take place on Wednesday, October 7, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM in Auditorium 2.

On the second day of the event—Thursday the 8th, at 3:00 PM in Auditorium 3—another roundtable discussion will be held, titled “FIFA World Cup 2026: The Inside Experience.” Torneos CEO Maximiliano Cabrera and Torneos Engineering and IT Manager Pablo Mascitelli will share their experiences as part of the first South American production team to work on a World Cup. They will discuss planning, operational and production structures, and the International Broadcast Center.

Later that same day, starting at 5:00 PM in Auditorium 2, radio broadcasting will take center stage in a nationwide roundtable discussion. Speakers will include Daniela Clerici (COO of Grupo América Interior), Guillermo Chialvo (General Director of Cadena 3), and Ricardo Litwinow (Technical Operations Manager for Radio La Red and FM Blue), with Alejo Smirnoff (head of Editorial Prensario) serving as moderator. Titled “Radio Looks to the Future,” the session will examine the state of radio at both global and national levels. It will also debate radio’s continued relevance as a medium, its outlook regarding new technologies, and its evolving vision as a multi-platform brand capable of reaching further than ever before.
