The evolution of live events and AV integration projects is driving the development of increasingly compact, powerful, and versatile sound systems. In this context, Audio Concept is supporting the arrival of TIGRA, Meyer Sound’s new line array, highlighting its potential to address a wide range of applications across the Latin American market.

The professional audio industry continues to move toward solutions capable of delivering higher levels of performance without increasing system size. In a region that encompasses major touring productions, theaters, auditoriums, houses of worship, convention centers, and rental companies, this trend is creating new opportunities for more efficient and adaptable projects.

As Meyer Sound’s distributor for Colombia, Panama, and Venezuela, Audio Concept maintains a close relationship with the manufacturer and actively participates in its major international product launches, bringing the latest innovations to system integrators, production companies, and audio professionals throughout the region.

“As you can see, technology continues to evolve, and at Audio Concept, our mission is to bring it closer to the region,” said Cristian León, Project Specialist at Audio Concept Venezuela.

That philosophy was once again reflected during InfoComm, where the company closely followed the launch of TIGRA. Before its official demonstration, Cristian León spoke with Juan Carlos Yepes, Meyer Sound’s Regional Sales Manager for Latin America, to learn more about a product that had already generated considerable excitement among industry professionals.

“We finally have TIGRA on the market. We also have the opportunity to hear it alongside the new 2100-LFC and other products such as the Ultra-X80 and Ultra-X40, showcasing different system configurations,” explained Yepes.

The new system occupies a strategic position within the Meyer Sound portfolio by combining a compact footprint with outstanding performance and exceptional flexibility, significantly expanding the range of applications available to sound companies and system integrators.

Expanding on this point, Yepes emphasized the system’s versatility.

“It’s not just for churches or theaters. It’s also the perfect companion to Panther as an outfill, frontfill, or delay system in larger productions. It has countless applications because it’s an incredibly powerful system,” he said.

Thanks to this flexibility, TIGRA can serve both as a main PA system in medium-sized venues and as a complement to large-format arrays, making it an especially attractive option for rental companies, theaters, cultural venues, houses of worship, and corporate productions seeking to maximize performance without increasing operational complexity.

One of the aspects that attracted the most attention during its presentation was the relationship between its size and performance.

“We’re talking about a loudspeaker that weighs only 52 kilograms yet delivers 146 dB of SPL. It’s a much more compact system than Panther, but its performance is comparable to products that are considerably larger,” said Yepes.

These capabilities enable applications that previously required much larger systems while reducing transportation, setup, and operational time without compromising the sound quality that defines Meyer Sound.

From Audio Concept’s perspective, these characteristics represent a significant opportunity for regional markets.

“We’re extremely excited about the launch of TIGRA. We’ll soon have it available so people can experience it, feel it, and hear it for themselves. It’s a system that has us genuinely excited because of its combination of size, power, and versatility,” commented Cristian León.

For the company, the true value of this launch lies in providing rental companies, engineers, and system integrators with a solution capable of adapting to a wide variety of applications. That versatility expands the design possibilities of every project while offering a more efficient response to the industry’s current demands.

The new system has already begun its international tour, appearing at some of Europe’s most important festivals.

“It’s already scheduled for Roskilde and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Very soon, people will be able to hear it in many countries,” announced Yepes.

Following its debut on those stages, expectations are now shifting to Latin America, where Audio Concept is preparing the first demonstrations so that industry professionals can experience the system’s performance firsthand.

“Very soon, we’ll be showcasing TIGRA in different countries across Latin America so people can hear it for themselves,” concluded Yepes.

Its combination of compact size, high sound pressure levels, and remarkable versatility points to new opportunities for rental companies, theaters, and live productions seeking to maximize performance without increasing logistical complexity. With this balance of efficiency and performance, Audio Concept is preparing the arrival of a solution that promises to become a new benchmark for multiple applications throughout the Latin American professional market.
