France – Industry-leading wireless LED lighting manufacturer Astera’s new QuikBeam fixture – launched at the ISE expo just last month – has won another award for ‘Innovation’, this time from leading French-based industry technology portal, SoundLightUp.
QuikBeam is the newest member of Astera’s ‘QuikFamily’ and is designed and engineered to deliver the maximum intensity in the smallest, lightest and most robust form factor!
Usable in any lighting scenario, QuikBeam is speedy to set up and very compact, which SoundLightUp described as a “pocket-sized wash / beam.”
The luminaire is a super bright, rapidly deployable, fresnel lensed fixture with a 13 – 60-degree zoom, complete with hugely convenient swappable batteries and practical plug-and-play functionality … plus all the performance, perfect colour mixing, quality and high CRI / TLCI of Astera’s outstanding Titan LED Engine.
QuikBeam is ultimately flexible and portable thanks to several new smart features introduced by the Astera R&D wizards, and all of which caught the eyes of the SoundLightUp team.
SoundLightUp’s panel of experts commented that the IP65-rated QuikBeam “inspires confidence with its robust and well-thought-out design and wins an SLU Innovation Award for its clever rapid-handling solutions and multiple control options, all integrated into a fixture under 15 cm in size that will undoubtedly delight its users.”
QuikBeam has a truly impressive size-to-power ratio. It measures 13 cm and weighs under 1.5 kg, yet is capable of producing nearly 1,300 lumens – equivalent to a 200 W tungsten source – thanks to its 20 W Titan RGB + Mint + Amber LED engine, which is behind a small fresnel-style lens.
QuikBeam is an outstanding product that is definitely attracting attention as this is its second award in 6 weeks!
The first one was at the ISE expo itself, just after the launch, when it picked up a ‘Best of Show’ Award in the TVBEurope category … which recognises standout, innovative broadcast-grade AV products and solutions that were on the show floor in Barcelona.
The ISE Best of Show Awards are also judged by a panel of industry experts and editorial teams with each award submission reviewed based on the product’s feature set, ease of use, innovation, and uniqueness within the market.
