This year\’s InfoComm show was one for the record books with a
reported record attendance of 38,833 visitors, and the aisles of the Las Vegas
Convention Center bore that out. The Symetrix booth was buzzing with activity,
with a non-stop stream of visitors coming by to check out the newly announced
Solus NX lineup. Response to the entire Solus NX line was tremendous, from
dealers and systems integrators to media, with Solus NX 16×8 winning a Best of
Show award from Sound & Video Contractor magazine.
The open architecture Solus NX series is designed for standalone
DSP applications that don\’t require Dante™ networking. The three DSP models
(16×8, 8×8, 4×4) provide the same unrivalled processing power and memory as the
Symetrix Radius, Prism, and Edge products. The series\’ compatibility with
Symetrix\’ award-winning Composer programming software was a major factor in
S&VC\’s Best of Show award decision.
InfoComm attendees also got a first look at Symetrix\’
soon-to-be-released Control Server, a powerful network-based control platform
for Symetrix DSPs. Configurable using Composer, Control Server apps are
launched in web browsers running on any networked computer, tablet, or
smartphone. The initial Mixer app was a hit with booth visitors, as was Control
Server\’s wireless capability. Along with Control Server and Solus NX, the
newest iteration of Composer was also on demo at the booth, capturing attention
with its dramatically enhanced processing capabilities.
Symetrix was one of several top-tier industry leaders
co-sponsoring the sixth annual Dante AV Networking World education event during
InfoComm 2016. The all-day workshop is an excellent venue for delivering the
tools and information to design consultants, system integrators, audio
engineers and IT managers to work with Dante, Audinate\’s revolutionary audio
networking solution. The interactive, hands-on workshops featured Symetrix
Prism 8×8 DSPs in every workspace.
\”Without
a doubt, this has been our most successful InfoComm, if not our most successful
trade show ever,\” remarked Mark Ryals, Symetrix Director of Marketing.
\”The response to Solus NX in particular has been absolutely remarkable,
and there was a lot of excitement and enthusiasm around the potential of
Control Server and the Mixer app. We\’re looking forward to a great year.\”
