On January 14, Bernardo Arévalo took office as president of Guatemala. The president was sworn in in a ceremony at the National Palace of Culture located in the historic center of the city.

This event began around midnight due to a delay of more than nine hours. This change in agenda favored the Guatemalan company RNSOUND so that its spectacular lighting setup looked much better with the 160 CHAUVET Professional fixtures that was placed for this event.

RNSOUND is a company with more than 25 years of experience in the professional sound, stages, LED screens and lighting industry. They have a team trained in the design of logistics and assembly of high-level and demanding shows, as was the case with this inauguration.

For this Guatemalan company, it is essential to offer its customers a range of state-of-the-art lights, for different uses and applications at events. Its stock is full of reliable and world-renowned brands, operated by expert lighting technicians who not only illuminate, but make emotions feel, guide the audience’s attention, transform environments, and when they combine audio and visuals, spectacular scenes are created.

In his objective to exceed his client’s expectations, Oswaldo Muñoz, the company’s Lighting Designer, decided to add 48 Maverick Storm 1 Hybrid to his design, fixture that has the latest IP65 technology from the Maverick series along with an advanced optical system while the Beam/Spot/Wash combination offers stadium-scale output.

“The Maverick Storm 1 Hybrid placed on the roof of the venue were perfect to give us that spectacular beam of light visible for kilometers with more than 30 meters high” commented Oswaldo.

24 units of Maverick Mk3 Wash were added to this design, raising the standards of power, color consistency and pixel effects to a new level. Equipped with 27 40 Watt Osram RGBW LEDs, it has the ability to handle any application, including long shot situations with ease.

“The 38 Color STRIKE M fixtures were a great help, they gave us the power and the perfect white to illuminate each point.

The 30 COLORado PXL Bar 16 bars helped us nuance every profile and detail of the walls and windows of the National Palace,” shared the Lighting Designer.

COLORado PXL Bar 16 is a motorized bar with tilt, ready for outdoors, with the ability to zoom to achieve a tight and wide appearance with pixel mapping, thanks to these features the historical and cultural monument of Guatemala with 81 years old, shined in all its splendor for this important event.

Another of the CHAUVET Professional models that joined this design were 20 STRIKE Array 2, an IP 65 outdoor-ready blinder that works with 2 intense warm white LEDs installed in independently focusable capsules.

Thanks to the experience of Lighting Designer Oswaldo Muñoz and the entire team of RNSOUND professionals, this historic event in the political life of Guatemala was unforgettable and spectacular.
