Italy – “Seems like only yesterday – and it was January, in facts, when a previous version was released”, shared a spokesperson of Outline, Italian manufacturer of Newton, the FPGA-based digital signal processor, speaking about the latest update of its control application ISAAC.
“Count among the latest improvements in the multi-platform application the new offline- and virtual provision of Newton devices”, we were told, for users can now modify the operating parameters of a disconnected unit, which will be synchronised as soon as it’s online again, pronto; likewise, you can set them in limbo from scratch, virtual mode, ready to be transplanted into a real device at a later moment – and the opposite’s true, too: an actual online unit can be virtualised, in order to be impressed into a different device (or more).
“The universal motto ‘Knowledge Is Power’ inspires a feature that users have invoked for a long time, now tucked inside the new Isaac release: user manual is now built-right-in the application, an interactive guide complete with useful, self-explanatory visual references – it will dispel any doubt on the entire Newton/Isaac ecosystem, without even having to reach outside the very Isaac interface, realtime – and without any need to connect to the mother of all networks”, states said Outline executive person.
“Last, but not for this least, is the addendum for boosting operating speed: user experience is being upscaled by an extended set of keyboard shortcuts, allowing users not to rely only on cursor-logic pointing peripherals, mouse-like or otherwise, while reaching warp speed at setting configuration parameters of the numerous DSP channels within Newton”, was noted in the Company’s presentation.
“It’s Newton, Sir Isaac!”, that’s how Outline’s team often links the interaction of hardware and software: the ecosystem of the signal processing platform naturally versed to control the most complex PAs in live applications (multi-set, multi-stage, and multi-FOH, too) is now more effective and flexible than ever – getting easier and stronger at every subsequent release of kostenlos updates!
