USA – Upside, a new entertainment venue located in Wynwood, Miami, opened its doors on June 5 with a sound system installed by Level Three. The venue features a program that includes DJ sets, performances, special events and live sports broadcasts.
Covering approximately 8,500 square feet across two floors and a covered outdoor area, Upside combines different spaces and uses within the same venue. The sound system needed to support both its daily operation and a music program that demands higher sound pressure levels during DJ sets and nighttime events.
The design and integration of the sound system were handled by Level Three, a specialist in audio, video and lighting solutions for hospitality and entertainment venues in the United States.
For the areas with the highest sound level requirements, ARA-P28 systems were paired with SARA-SUB subwoofers. The ARA-P28 delivers high sound pressure levels in a compact point source format, while the cardioid design of the SARA-SUB reduces low-frequency energy to the rear. This helps limit bass propagation into other areas of the venue.
In other areas, ARTEC-510 and ARTEC-322S systems maintain clarity and sound quality throughout space. The wide coverage of the ARTEC-510 helps achieve sound distribution, while the ARTEC-322S provides the required low-frequency reinforcement.
The installation is completed with OVI-12 systems, whose format and mounting options allow them to integrate discreetly into space. Their two-way coaxial design helps maintain good intelligibility and balanced music reproduction.
The combination of these different product families allows sound level, coverage and low-frequency reinforcement to be adapted to the needs of each area while maintaining consistent performance throughout the venue.
