LINK, the Italian company that connects the professional industry.

LINK was founded in 1987 by two audio engineers — among them Marco Piromalli, the company’s current president — with an idea as simple as it was ambitious: to create modular connectors capable of surviving the extreme conditions of touring, without sacrificing the precision and fidelity demanded by the entertainment industry.

From its very first steps, the brand understood that infrastructure was a critical link in any show.

Inspired by military and aeronautical industry standards, LINK developed a new generation of connectors that far exceeded the requirements of the professional market. This forward-looking approach deepened when the company recognized that the growth of digital data and fiber optics would permanently transform audio, video, and lighting. The response was clear: to design real solutions for the connectivity and cabling challenges that the entire industry was facing — and continues to face.

LINK’s proposal is structured as a complete ecosystem of professional connectivity solutions, designed to respond to the different levels of complexity demanded by today’s industry. From cables and connectors to hybrid distribution systems, the company covers applications in audio, video, lighting, data, fiber optics, and power, for both entertainment environments and permanent installations, broadcast, and industrial uses. This breadth allows projects of different scales to be addressed with a unified logic, where each component is designed to integrate coherently within a global infrastructure.

The portfolio is built on proprietary brands with a defined identity: Eurocable, specializing in high-performance cables — including hybrid solutions for signal and power; LK Connectors, with military-inspired circular connectors designed for critical environments; PDlink and DGlink, focused on hybrid signal and power distribution systems; and Link On Air, an innovative line centered on sanitization solutions. Together, this range reflects a clear strategy: to offer reliable, scalable, and adaptable solutions capable of accompanying the sector’s technological evolution without losing robustness or operational consistency.

Under the leadership of Piromalli and Assunta Fratocchi, the current General Manager, LINK consolidated its identity on solid foundations and on the development of two globally recognized brands: Eurocable and LK Connectors. Over the years, the company not only expanded its capacity for innovation, but also strengthened its specialization in pre-assembled and custom cables and connectors, tailored to the specific needs of each client.
Today, LINK goes beyond the entertainment universe and offers top-level connectivity solutions for civil, military, and industrial applications, maintaining the same commitment to quality, timing, and service. This evolution also includes proprietary developments such as Link On Air, an innovative sanitization system based on ActivePure technology.

If you can imagine it, LINK can build it: that philosophy remains the driving force of a company that understands that infrastructure also defines the future of the show.

From touring to the global industry

Assunta Fratocchi speaks from the origin. Born and raised in Rome, her personal story is intertwined with that of LINK, a company she defines without hesitation from its DNA. “The family is Italian and, as many of you probably know, Link is an Italian company,” she says, before going back 37 years, when two sound engineers — accustomed to touring concerts — decided to return home and create a business that was unprecedented in the country at the time: developing infrastructure for the entertainment market.

From Italy, LINK manufactures cables, connectors, and custom solutions designed to meet specific audio and lighting needs, a passion that drove its growth and international projection. “We grew to the point where we decided we wanted to be more global,” Assunta recalls, marking a turning point almost 25 years ago with the creation of Link USA, the first step in an expansion that has continued ever since.

The global dimension takes shape in the voice of Bob Vanden Burgt, vice president and partner of the company, based in the Americas and a key figure in the brand’s development on the continent. Introduced by Assunta as her partner at Link USA, Bob quickly highlights the company’s differentiating axis: “We are a global company, but what makes Link unique is that we design the connectors, the cable, and all the infrastructure for power and data, and we can do it in a unified system.”

That integration is not conceptual, it is structural. “Everything requires power and it also requires data,” he states, and from that premise LINK develops configurations capable of bringing together three phases of power, single-mode and multimode fiber optics, CAT6, and multiple signal connections into a single system. The result is hybrid cables, designed to simultaneously carry everything that lighting, audio, and video systems need, reducing complexity and increasing efficiency in broadcast and entertainment environments.

This approach has led LINK to work alongside numerous manufacturers worldwide. “We are an OEM provider for audio, lighting, and video systems, and that is what truly makes Link unique,” Bob emphasizes, before focusing on the region: the formal presentation of LINK, LK Connectors, and Eurocable for Latin America and the Caribbean marks a key step in a strategy that combines engineering, integration, and global reach.

Tailored solutions for the regional industry

The focus on Latin America is completed with the voice of Jaime Friedstadt, LINK’s business developer for Latin America and the Caribbean, who emphasizes the concrete application of the brand’s solutions in the industry’s day-to-day operations.

The versatility of the portfolio is one of the central pillars. “These products are sold for audio, video, and lighting, both for fixed installations — such as theaters or television studios — and for rental companies,” Jaime explains.

That breadth of use translates into a flexible approach: “All of these products can be customized. We can sell just the connectors, the cables, or complete assemblies, according to the customer’s needs.”

The offering ranges from ready-to-use or custom-built distribution centers to a wide variety of Socapex and hybrid connectors, compatible with different electrical standards. “We can work with UL or CE standards, for the United States as well as for Latin America or South America, using European standards at 220 or 230 volts, 50 or 60 hertz,” he details, emphasizing adaptation to each market.

The solutions also extend to fixed installations, where LINK develops wall panels configured according to specific requirements. “We can integrate the type of connector and switches you want, or high-power connectors for all your audio, video, or lighting needs,” he notes.

In the cable universe, the Eurocable line completes the ecosystem with multiple configurations: from cables with Socapex connectors to hybrid cables for video screens, capable of carrying data and power, as well as fiber optic, category 5, or category 6 solutions. “They are very high-quality, very flexible cables, perfect for rental companies and easy to transport.”

Jaime leaves an open invitation to the regional community: “You can find our full product line and download the digital catalog at linkitaly.com or link-usa.com. You can contact us for any technical information or to request quotes. We hope to see you soon in Mexico, in Argentina, in the Caribbean, or anywhere in Latin America.”

Real cases, sustained vision

That solidity is not just a matter of discourse. Over the past few years, LINK has been chosen for high-profile projects in contexts where infrastructure allows no margin for error: historic theaters, major cultural productions, international sporting events, and highly demanding broadcast environments.

The global projection is supported by concrete facts, such as its participation in emblematic installations like the Teatro Lirico in Milan and the Teatro Galli in Rimini, where its hybrid connectivity solutions made it possible to modernize historic infrastructures without compromising reliability or aesthetics. LINK technology has also been present in internationally scaled productions such as the Ferrari Challenge, ensuring data and signal transmission for highly demanding broadcast scenarios.

In parallel, the opening of LINK UK and the acquisition of AGORA Network Technologies reinforce a corporate strategy of sustained growth, aimed at expanding capabilities and consolidating presence in key markets. Within this framework, Latin America does not appear as an occasional destination, but as an active part of a long-term industrial vision that combines experience, scale, and strategic planning.

With an identity built on engineering, a comprehensive view of power and data, and a customization capacity that speaks directly to the real needs of the market, LINK consolidates its position as a strategic partner for the professional industry.

Its active presence in Latin America responds not only to commercial expansion, but to a deep understanding of the region’s technical, regulatory, and operational contexts.

In a scenario where infrastructure defines efficiency, safety, and the evolution of systems, LINK reaffirms its commitment to reliable solutions, designed for today and prepared for what lies ahead.
