Located in the heart of Montevideo, Emile Club is a leading reference for electronic music enthusiasts in Uruguay. This club has earned its place in the local nightlife scene thanks to its vibrant atmosphere and, of course, its impeccable FBT sound system.
A key project highlighting its success is the installation carried out by Luces Pro, a company specialized in lighting solutions and professional audio.
Inés Berrutti, owner of Luces Pro, explains the approach that defines the company: “We position ourselves as a reliable provider specializing in lighting and audio products for a wide range of applications, from large stages to nightclubs like Emile,” she emphasizes. The installation at Emile was designed by technician Diego Vidal, aiming to optimize sound quality within a tight budget. The chosen system, made up of FBT XPro and Xsub models, has exceeded expectations: “The result was very good; the club’s customers are very satisfied. The installation has not presented any issues in over two years,” Berrutti comments.
Among the installed products are 4 XPro112 systems and 2 Xsub118SA subwoofers for the dance floor, as well as XPro112 monitors for DJs, all controlled by an advanced DBMark DP48 processor, allowing for precise and customized sound adjustments.
“The main challenge in this project was the space limitation due to the club’s low ceilings, a difficulty that was resolved with horizontal anchors X-PU12 and X-PU10, ensuring optimal sound distribution,” says Gerardo Hernández, Commercial Manager of Luces Pro. The FBT XPRO 112A undoubtedly proved to be the ideal choice for EMILE due to its ability to deliver high-fidelity sound that spans from 50 Hz to 20 kHz.
This frequency range ensures clear and precise reproduction, perfect for both vocals and music. With an impressive maximum SPL of 129 dB, the speaker fills the space with powerful and clear sound, maintaining quality at all times. The bi-amplification technology, with a powerful 1200 W amplifier for low frequencies and 300 W for high frequencies, optimizes audio performance and definition. The control panel, equipped with a three-channel mixer and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, offers unparalleled flexibility for live events, allowing for microphone use, stereo inputs, and intuitive sound adjustments. Additionally, its mounting versatility, which includes M10 suspension points and a 1.38” tripod adapter, allows it to be adapted to different configurations, maximizing space use and ensuring immersive sound throughout the club.
“The FBT X-SUB 118SA complements the FBT XPRO 112A perfectly, taking the sound experience at EMILE Club to the next level. This subwoofer not only provides deep and precise low-frequency response, but its DSP processor and adjustment options allow for adaptation to the specific acoustic needs of each event, ensuring exceptional performance at all times,” comments Gerardo Hernández.
Built with 0.70” birch plywood and a scratch-resistant black paint finish, the subwoofer is robust and durable. The design includes an M20 mount adapter, easy-to-transport aluminum handles, and optional 100 mm wheels, facilitating mobility. The control panel of the FBT X-SUB 118SA has stereo combo XLR/jack inputs and outputs, level controls, a 0°/180° phase switch, and an LED indicator for protection and limiting monitoring, providing the technical team with tools for agile and efficient management.
With these features, Emile Club can offer high-quality sound, with a bass boost that enhances both live events and DJ sessions, creating an immersive and energetic atmosphere that captivates the audience.
