Designed exclusively for the Indian market, Christie has expanded its direct-view LED portfolio with the introduction of the Lumia Series chip-on-board (COB) indoor videowall tiles. The series is aimed at corporate, retail and hospitality videowall installations.

“We’re excited to introduce the Lumia Series to the Indian market, offering an affordable LED videowall solution that excels in performance and versatility,” said Mike Bernhardt, director of product management, enterprise, Christie. “With its innovative COB technology, the Lumia Series meets the diverse needs of our Indian customers. This marks a significant step for Christie in becoming a serious player in India’s LED market, further solidifying the Lumia Series as a compelling choice for any videowall installation.”

The integration of COB technology allows for precise module alignment and flexible configurations through splicing. Additionally, the tightly integrated power supply reportedly enhances heat dissipation, reducing power consumption and extending the lifespan compared to traditional LED displays.

Christie noted that the tiles’ durable front coating enhances their suitability for touch-interactive applications and they are fully front-serviceable, allowing easy removal of modules and power supplies from the front of the cabinet. Furthermore, the space-efficient design is aimed at ensuring hassle-free installation and maintenance to offer a solution adaptable for various environments.

The series is available in four pixel pitches: 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.2mm and 1.5mm and offers a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, a 3840Hz refresh rate with HDR support, and a 160° viewing angle with an IP2x rating. It is also compatible with the Christie E510 and E600 controllers, enabling processing capabilities such as 4K at 60Hz, HDR10 and low brightness optimisation.
