Mexico – Universidad Anáhuac Puebla, a leading institution in academic excellence in Latin America, has announced the successful implementation of an intelligent audio ecosystem, featuring Shure solutions, to consolidate its hybrid teaching model. This project redefines the classroom experience, enabling smooth and natural interaction among its 4,500 students, whether they are attending in person or remotely.
The Challenge: Overcoming the barriers of distance education
Faced with sustained growth in its student community, the institution was challenged to adapt its academic spaces to the new hybrid reality. Traditional classrooms presented critical limitations: lack of voice clarity when the instructor moved around the room, persistent echo, and environmental noise that hindered collaboration.
“We were facing issues with listening, message clarity, and fluid collaboration. Based on this, we set out to find technological solutions that would transform our classrooms into intelligent spaces,” stated Fernando Vega, Systems Director at Universidad Anáhuac Puebla.
The Solution: A digital and integrated ecosystem
To address these needs, the university selected the Shure Microflex Ecosystem, a professional audio solution recognized for its ability to integrate with third-party software and hardware. The project included the installation of:
Shure MXA920 ceiling microphones: For precise voice capture at any point in the classroom.
Shure MXN5-C networked loudspeakers: Ensuring clear and uniform audio reproduction.
IntelliMix P300 and ANIUSB-MATRIX processors: Devices that provide active noise suppression and efficient digital signal management.
This infrastructure, connected through the network, allows audio, video, and automation to work together, offering advanced features such as voice-based camera tracking and automatic muting.
Benefits: Full focus on teaching
The implementation has eliminated “technology fatigue” among the teaching staff. According to Carlos Miguel Ramos Linares, Smart Room Coordinator, professors can now fully concentrate on pedagogy: “Today, they only need to turn on the lights and start their class; the system takes care of the rest, eliminating external noise and connection issues.”
Leadership in Educational Innovation
With the modernization of spaces such as Aula 360 and the Smart Room E4, Universidad Anáhuac Puebla positions itself as a technological benchmark in Latin America.
“This is a digital solution that not only solves current audio challenges, but also allows firmware updates for future improvements and full interoperability with leading collaboration platforms,” explained Julián Sánchez, Market Development Specialist at Shure.
