Bürgerhaus Leinstetten has chosen Allen & Heath solutions to control its versatile sound system. This enables the venue to meet the very different requirements of a wide range of events. Moreover, the system can be operated effortlessly by hosts with little or no technical expertise.
For Beginners and Professionals
Bürgerhaus Leinstetten hosts many different types of events. This versatility required places particular demands on the installed system: operation must be intuitive even for hosts without technical training. Whether children’s gymnastics or senior sports – the system should be accessible to everyone. At the same time, professional users such as sound engineers need access to detailed and advanced settings for larger events. In addition, the two zones, foyer and hall, must be able to run independently or together. To meet these requirements, Bronner Audio looked for the right components to build a tailor-made solution. The event specialists found what they needed with Allen & Heath.
Sophisticated Signal Distribution
To allow the two zones to operate independently, Bronner Audio implemented the AHM-64 from Allen & Heath. The audio matrix processor, with its flexible routing and signal processing capabilities, provides the perfect foundation. To prepare for larger events, the configuration was further expanded with an AR84 expander and an SQ-5 digital mixer.
“The SQ-5 can be plugged in inside the hall and connects via S-Link to the AHM-64 and AR84. The wireless microphone signals are then routed by the AHM-64 to the mixer, where the actual signal processing takes place,” explains Martin Bronner, Managing Director of Bronner Audio. Thanks to the SQ-5, professional users and sound engineers can fine-tune the audio in depth and make specific adjustments.
Simple Control via Wallplates
To simplify system operation, two IP1 rotary wallplate controllers were installed – one in the hall and one in the foyer. These allow basic functions to be controlled via a single pushable rotary knob, keeping the system easy to handle for all users. For smaller events, an Allen & Heath CC touch panel is available, offering more advanced control options for finer sound adjustments.
