Denmark – During a five-hour electronic dance music event, Copenhagen’s Royal Arena was transformed into a high-energy venue featuring Absen’s flagship rental & staging LED technology to create an immersive experience for TooManyLeftHands & Friends’ headline performance.
Danish DJ and producer duo, Anders K and Martin Nick, professionally known as TooManyLeftHands is renowned for their dynamic house, tech, progressive and deep electronic music, as well as their immersive live performances. For the duo’s biggest headline show and the largest DJ set by a Danish artist in the venue’s history, they entrusted the help of audio-visual solution expert, Profox to deliver a YOLO project on a grand scale to match. With a stage concept devised by Magicbox and Gravity Cph, the event harnessed cutting-edge audio-visual technology to deliver an immersive experience, ensuring every beat pulsed with energy and clarity throughout the show to its 16,000 attendees.
In a large-capacity arena show, producing visuals for this environment presents a unique set of demands: content must be seen clearly from every angle, remain stable and colour-accurate on camera and perform reliably across a long, continuous runtime. At the same time, the installation requires fast build times and a flexible screen layout that supports content, without compromising sightlines or stage aesthetics. After a visit to Absen’s headquarters in Shenzhen, the Profox team was impressed by its captivating LED and assured by the trust and emotional connection they had developed with the team.
To meet these requirements, Absen’s high-performance rental LED screen, the JP5 Pro was selected to create a spectacular 448㎡ backdrop for the acts. Specifically designed for touring and live events, the JP5 Pro boasts a lightweight and durable design for flexible builds and creative staging configurations. With a 5.2mm pixel pitch, it delivers high-impact visuals up to 5000 nits brightness, 16-bit grayscale, 7680Hz refresh rate and 8500:1 high contrast for seamless performance and uniformity to maintain impact across the arena. Practical rental and touring needs are addressed through its robust mechanical design and straightforward maintenance, supported by a smooth installation process and dependable operation on show day. Efficient transport using 8-in-1 dolly shipping with two-layer stacking (plus a 6-in-1 dolly option) has also been integrated within the design.
With Absen LED at the centre of the visual design, the event delivered vibrant, high-resolution content that amplified key moments, from DJ close-ups to graphic-LED transitions, helping the creative and technical teams maintain momentum across the full five-hour programme. The result was a consistent, immersive visual experience that supported the energy of the performance and the ambition of the stage design.
“We were genuinely delighted with the end result. The screen delivered the impact, clarity and consistency we needed in this full-scale arena environment. The whole build-up and show day ran exactly as planned. It helped us realise the creative vision and give the audience an experience that felt truly world-class,” explains Mikkel Rodkjær, CEO of Profox.
“We’d been left frustrated by a previous project with a competitor, where weak after-sales support ultimately undermined the delivery. With Absen, the experience was significantly different: fast, clear communication, dependable follow-through, and a genuinely positive partnership throughout,” adds Rasmus Stoltenberg Sørensen, head of LED at Profox.
“We’re extremely pleased with the outcome at Royal Arena. Profox and the wider creative team delivered an ambitious show and our JP5 Pro proved to be the right fit delivering the high-impact needed to perform flawlessly,” says Debbie Zheng, Director of AbsenLive.
