VOU CLUB achieves an unprecedented audio axperience with FBT Technology.

Montevideo has become a standout destination for nightlife entertainment in South America, and VOU CLUB, located in the vibrant Parque Rodó area, is a clear testament to this trend. Since May 2024, this club has not only attracted electronic music enthusiasts but now offers a world-class audio experience thanks to the recent installation of FBT sound systems, an internationally renowned Italian brand. The company behind this transformation is Luces Pro, the exclusive distributor of FBT in Uruguay, responsible for implementing a system that redefines sound standards in entertainment spaces

Founded in 2009 as a family project, Luces Pro was established with the goal of providing advanced solutions in audio and lighting. Inés Berrutti, the company’s owner, highlights how the company has evolved since its beginnings: *”We started with lighting, venturing into the world of live shows, and over time, we expanded our services to include stage structures, DJ equipment, and, of course, high-quality professional audio.”* 

In 2014, Luces Pro took a major step by incorporating the representation of FBT in Uruguay, positioning it among the most recognized brands in the local market, a milestone Berrutti attributes to both the brand’s quality and Luces Pro’s commitment to pre- and post-sales service. 

The installation at VOU CLUB was a challenging and ambitious project led by sound technician **Diego Vidal**, with expert support from **Joaquín Villat** for system tuning. The venue housing VOU CLUB presents physical complexities, with dimensions that make achieving high-quality audio reproduction difficult. For the dance floor and terrace areas of VOU, Luces Pro selected FBT’s Ventis and Subline lines. *”The result was excellent,”* says Berrutti. 

For Vidal and Villat, the priority was selecting a system flexible enough to cater to a wide range of artists and events. 

*”We achieved the desired sound pressure on the dance floor without distortion, and with the support of the satellites, we covered all areas uniformly,”* assures **Gerardo Hernández**, General Manager of Luces Pro. The technical team implemented four Ventis 112 systems for the dance floor, four Ventis 115 units as satellites, and two Subline 218SA subwoofers for the bass. On the outdoor terrace, XPRO 110 systems were installed. All of these are controlled by the advanced DP48 controller from Dbmark, marketed by the Argentine company DA Profesional. According to Hernández, it *”provides precision in conversion and versatility in sound equalization and processing.”* 

The 112 and 115 models are bass-reflex two-way designs housed in 15 mm birch plywood enclosures. The front grille incorporates an acoustic fabric coating, and the constant directivity horns (80°H x 50°V) are rotatable. 

The SUBline 218SA, on the other hand, is the largest model among the active versions of the series, featuring two 18” woofers and 1200 watts of RMS power, producing a peak sound pressure level of 140 dB with a frequency response from 30 Hz to 120 Hz. 

This installation not only underscores Luces Pro’s commitment to quality but also its long-term vision. Berrutti emphasizes that since 2014, Luces Pro has worked tirelessly to make FBT one of the most valued brands in the Uruguayan market. *”When we started, FBT was virtually unknown in the country. Today, thanks to the technical and commercial support we provide, FBT is one of the top choices for audio professionals,”* she proudly states. 

FBT’s success in the Uruguayan market reflects a clear trend: the demand for accessible yet high-quality sound systems capable of meeting the needs of a variety of clients, from rental companies to nightclubs and theaters. *”Our clients choose FBT for its sound quality, robustness, and reasonable pricing,”* highlights Hernández, adding that the X, Promaxx, Ventis, Mitus, and Subline lines are among the most popular in Uruguay.
