With 27 years of experience in the market, Star Line Music has revolutionized the professional audio industry in Peru. Thanks to its partnership with DAS Audio, the company has been able to provide high-quality sound solutions, establishing itself as a key player in major events and expanding the presence of the renowned brand across the country.

Star Line Music, with 27 years of experience in the market, has been a key player in the evolution of professional audio in Peru. Founded in the city of Arequipa, this company started with the sale of electronic equipment.

From the beginning, its mission has been clear: to offer the highest quality products, accompanied by exceptional technical support to ensure customer satisfaction. “Our vision has always been to offer not just equipment but reliable and durable solutions,” says Lusmila Anaya Baca, CEO of Star Line Music.

Over the years, Star Line Music has grown significantly, consolidating its presence in the Peruvian market. Today, the company operates with two physical stores in the city of Arequipa and two in the capital, Lima. “Additionally, we have a sales agent who travels throughout the country, complementing our physical presence with a solid social media strategy,” explains Lusmila.

The Star Line Music team has also grown to meet customer demand. “We currently have 21 employees, six of whom specialize in audio sales and are also sound technicians,” adds Anaya Baca.

The sound industry in Peru has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, transforming the way rental companies operate.

Lusmila highlights that, while progress is being made towards the use of high-end products, it is still essential to improve operator education to maximize the use of these systems. The pandemic further accelerated the adoption of advanced technology, allowing international events to take place more frequently, always with high-quality audio systems.

The arrival of DAS Audio

The relationship between Star Line Music and DAS Audio marked a significant milestone in the company’s history. “After the pandemic, we were offered DAS Audio, and after negotiations, we accepted the distribution,” says the company’s CEO, recalling how the partnership began. “Being aware of the demands and rules of such a recognized brand was key in the decision. Accepting DAS’s conditions and committing to its quality standards is what led us to become its official distributor in the country.”

The experience with DAS Audio’s sound systems has been, in Lusmila’s words, exceptional. “Very good overall, they are very practical systems, easy to use, but with one of the best qualities in the industry. The ‘Plug and Play’ feature in most of their products is truly an advantage that makes a difference,” she concludes.

Star Line Music currently offers a wide range of DAS Audio sound systems in Peru, covering various needs in the professional market. “Among the available models are the Altea Duo, Altea 400, Altea 700, Action 500, Vantec, Event Series, as well as processors like the Integral M26X and the Arco speakers,” Lusmila details.

The after-sales support Star Line Music has received from DAS Audio has been a key factor in the success of their relationship. “UNIQUE,” emphasizes Lusmila Anaya Baca when describing her experience. “Engineer Fernando Nanao, from the factory, is always available to address any technical questions, whether it’s about more basic products like the Altea or more complex systems like the LARA.”

The direct relationship with DAS Audio has been one of the fundamental pillars for Star Line Music. Regarding the contact with Leandro Arguello, Lusmila has nothing but praise for his approach. “He has been very pleasant; he is an incredible person, always willing to support and offer practical solutions. I highlight his positive attitude and his ability to see beyond. He is a business visionary, always proposing new perspectives.”

In addition to technical support, DAS Audio provides ongoing training for Star Line Music employees. “They hold Teams meetings where they offer technical talks and specific meetings on both technical aspects and negotiations,” she explains.

DAS Audio sounds strong in Peru

Star Line Music has played a leading role in several important events in Peru, where DAS Audio systems have demonstrated their quality and reliability. “We just had two events with one of the most iconic cumbia orchestras in Peru. The first was the presentation of an Event 212a system in a 32-top format, at a rental inauguration event in Chimbote, Ancash, where Corazón Serrano and La Bella Luz performed. Thanks to that event, many were able to appreciate the clarity and power of the Event 212a,” Lusmila acknowledges.

They then traveled to Chiclayo to provide support to M&M at an event that again featured Corazón Serrano on stage. “The challenge was significant: to demonstrate once again the reliability of DAS Audio. The impact on the audience was immediate, and the mix engineer was more than satisfied with the system’s sound power.”

Regarding the most common uses of DAS Audio systems in Peru, Lusmila is clear: “Without a doubt, live concerts.”

Star Line Music has big projections for DAS Audio’s growth in the Peruvian market. “One of our goals is to have a DAS Audio system in every region, properly configured and with trained personnel,” Lusmila assures. Moreover, there are ambitious plans underway, such as implementing a rental company equipped with the ARA Series system and all the advanced technology this product line offers.

Since they began distributing DAS Audio products in Peru, the brand’s presence has grown significantly, both technically and commercially.

This growth has been accompanied by a continuous focus on supporting companies that already have DAS systems, helping them improve and update their setups. “We have grown alongside them, providing better support and upgrades to their configurations,” she mentions, citing as an example companies that initially only purchased tops and, thanks to Star Line Music’s advice, are now integrating subs to complete their systems.

Technological innovation has also played a major role in this evolution. “Since the ARA Series, and the implementation of Alma and DASlim in system design, operators are increasingly up to date with technology, which allows for great evolution. It’s always good to stay current, and that’s what we aim to do at Star Line Music.”

What’s next

With a clear vision towards the future and a commitment to continued growth, Star Line Music continues to solidify its place as a leader in the professional audio industry in Peru.

Their partnership with DAS Audio has not only allowed them to offer high-quality products but has also strengthened their ability to provide exceptional technical service and continuous training to their team.

Lusmila Anaya Baca and her team are ready to face the challenges of the future and continue to be market leaders in sound.
