Stage Precision has become the latest member of the global non-profit initiative OpenAV Cloud, an association dedicated to creating an open and connected audiovisual industry. The organisation drives interoperability through open APIs and shared protocols, enabling systems, tools and platforms from different vendors to communicate seamlessly across disciplines and geographies.
By joining the initiative, Stage Precision states that it is reinforcing its mission to give customers freedom of choice and flexibility without lock-in. At the centre of this approach is SP Grid, the company’s flagship platform for managing and synchronising live data across complex AV workflows. Acting as a universal backbone, SP Grid connects tracking systems, media servers, lighting desks, automation controllers and more, allowing creatives and engineers to operate within a single environment.
Built on open standards and an API-first architecture, SP Grid supports both native and third-party integrations. “We believe the future of AVLM experiences lies in open collaboration, not isolation,” commented Sarah Cox, CCO at Stage Precision. “SP Grid was built to be the connective tissue of AV, translating data between systems, unlocking creative possibilities and ensuring that no single piece of technology becomes a roadblock. Joining the OpenAV Cloud aligns perfectly with our vision of a collaborative, future-proof industry.”
Stage Precision will work alongside other OpenAV Cloud members to support the initiative’s goal of moving the AV sector forward.
