Opened earlier this year, Bottle Live Club in the Chinese city of Chengdu has quickly become a magnet for diverse audiences. Situated in the city’s Jinjiang District, the club is in the heart of Chengdu’s commercial, cultural, and entertainment life. A varied programme of live music from large-scale ensembles, solo artists, bands, and DJ sets, demanded that the venue’s sound system was of the highest calibre.
Bottle Live Club’s investors, a group which also manages the city’s internationally renowned Playhouse venue, engaged ST Audio to design and supply a high quality and robust solution for this challenging venue. The club covers a total area of more than 7500sqm, with a main hall of more than 900sqm, and a ceiling height of 22m.
Since its establishment in 2012 ST Audio has operated as a distributor and integrator in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, specialising in delivering comprehensive solutions on any scale for live music venues, theatres, clubs, conference centres, and hospitality venues. Following meticulous site inspections and consultations with the venue, ST Audio designed and installed a system which combined EM Acoustics loudspeakers with XTA processing and amplification.
ST Audio installed strategically-deployed flagship HALO line arrays (a combination of 18 x HALO-A and 4 x HALO-B) supported by 14 x S-218, 4 x MSE 118, and 4 x S-18 subwoofers, as well as a variety of full-range cabinets and monitors to achieve uniform coverage and consistent tonal balance. The system is powered by 4 x XTA DNA100 (4 x 3700W into 2.7R) and 10 x DNA120 (2 x 6250W into 2.7R) digital audio network amplifiers, with processing by means of 3 x XTA DP448 and 3 x DP548 units.

The audio system at Bottle Live Club attracted universal approval from investors, senior management, and operational staff, who were full of praise for its quality and consistency. Just as as importantly, the venue’s guests have also responded affirmatively, with Bottle Live Club’s powerful, immersive sound becoming a key part of the venue’s appeal.
