Swedish
rock duo, Johnossi, have embarked on a 30 show European/Scandinavian tour with
a comprehensive set of SGM equipment. This has been specified by lighting
designer Fredrik Zetterberg.
Zetterberg, who is also
currently LD for the Cardigans, was determined to deploy SGM’s LED fixtures for
Johnossi based on his previous experience; included in his set design are eight
X-5 white LED strobes, six SixPack halogen emulating blinders and four P-5 wash
lights.
“I have used the X-5 on
previous tours and again I wanted the most powerful LEDs I could get my hands
on”, comments Zetterberg. “I needed small and powerful fixtures that could give
me the most lumens and colour control, compared to size and wattage.”
Utilising the SGM
products has also eased his workload, as the designer explains: “They do
exactly what I want and need them to do.” The SixPacks are among his favourite
fixtures due to their halogen emulation while the punch provided by the P-5
wash light enhances the show dynamics, combined with its capability to create
all the colours desired – from deep blues to light pastels.
Expressing unrestrained
enthusiasm for the result, the LD has already received much positive feedback –
which has exceeded his expectations. So keep an eye out for his designs; we
will definitely be seeing more to Zetterberg’s creations with SGM fixtures in
the near future.
