Chile – Fundación Teletón and Carlos Riquelme, Audio Director of Teletón Chile 2025, once again trusted Sennheiser to deliver the charity event.
In this year’s edition of the Chilean Teletón, Sennheiser once again provided a large part of the professional audio backbone with Spectera as the main system, ensuring a clear, stable, and interference-free broadcast throughout the long and demanding 27 hours of programming. Thanks to this platform operating both at the Teatro Teletón—an iconic venue of the event—and at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos during the closing, the event achieved audio quality in line with the technical demands of a challenge of this magnitude. For Sennheiser, being part of this journey is always a source of pride and a reminder of the impact technology can have when placed at the service of a cause with a strong social commitment.
The deployment included various components. At the Teatro Teletón, Spectera was used with 18 bidirectional SEK bodypacks with Headmic 4 microphones and DAD antennas, 24 channels of EW-DX with EW-DX SKM handheld microphones (MMD 935 and MM 445 capsules), A 5000-CP and ADP UHF antennas, as well as the Digital 6000 system with two SKM 6000 handheld microphones (MMD 935 capsules). For in-ear monitoring, 16 channels of the 2000 Series IEM with 32 EK 2000 IEM bodypacks were deployed, all coordinated through SoundBase software for precise spectrum management. At the Estadio Nacional, the strategy was replicated with a second Spectera system as the core, reinforced with 20 bidirectional SEK bodypacks, 4 Headmic 4, 8 D6000 channels, 16 EW-DX channels, and an IEM setup of 16 SR 2050 transmitters and 24 EK 2000 bodypack receivers, accompanied by multiple support antennas.
This technical setup was key to ensuring that television coverage and live broadcasting ran smoothly, especially with the return of the closing event to the Estadio Nacional after three years. The system’s stability made it possible to sustain simultaneous performances, musical crossovers, and continuous scene changes without signal loss.
The result lived up to the cause: Teletón far exceeded its goal, reaching CLP $44,253,268,546, a figure announced in the early hours of Sunday after a day marked by music, emotion, and massive participation. With this contribution, Sennheiser reaffirms its commitment to high-impact social initiatives in the region, demonstrating that top-tier technology can make a difference at events of this scale.
