Canadian company Ross Video returned to Integrated Systems Europe 2026 with a proposal focused on the Broadcast AV and Sports & Entertainment markets, highlighting the European launch of Vertex, its new unified control platform for immersive experiences.

Vertex joined the Ross portfolio following the acquisition of ioversal at the end of 2025. The platform integrates video, audio, lighting and control into a single system, enabling the design, automation and management of immersive installations in sports venues, corporate spaces, museums and large-scale productions.

Martin Kuhn, Vice President of Experiential Technologies at Ross, explained that the company has expanded its traditional broadcast focus toward the experiential field: “It’s been an incredible year for us. We have been expanding from our traditional home, which is the broadcast field, into sports and entertainment as well. So we have started a strong focus on experiential technologies.”

Kuhn emphasized that the growth of immersive spaces and the increasing size and complexity of content have created new challenges: “Basically, what we’re seeing right now is that we are getting a lot more screen real estate. Experiences are growing, there is much more screen space happening, and the management side of these screens is becoming more and more complicated.”

He also added: “Things like content management have to be considered. We are still at a point where storage is finite. We are getting deeper color depths, which makes the content larger.”

In response to this scenario, Vertex was presented not only as a media server but as a complete suite: “Our background is in media servers, but with Vertex we are not a media server—we say we have a media server. Vertex is a production suite that includes a media server, but also control and interactivity.”

The executive also highlighted the solution’s integrative role within the Ross ecosystem: “Vertex is a bit like the glue that brings all of this together.”

He illustrated its practical application as well: “For example, you can create an experience—let’s say in an immersive space within a corporate environment—where with the push of a single button you can trigger a switch, activate a projector, have that control capability, but at the same time also play back the content.”

Finally, Kuhn emphasized the importance of operational sustainability beyond opening day: “Because every installation is great on day one, but what happens after the first day? There is a lot of knowledge that sometimes has to be transferred, so we try to streamline and unify it so that it becomes manageable.”

Solutions for Broadcast AV and Sports & Entertainment

During the exhibition, Ross demonstrated how its technological ecosystem supports scalable workflows in corporate studios and multi-location environments, ensuring brand consistency and broadcast-standard performance. Among the solutions highlighted were Quorum, Media I/O and Streamline Pro.

For sports venues and live events, Vertex was showcased alongside tools such as XPression Tessera and Ultrix, designed to facilitate projection mapping, synchronized control and large-format productions.

Oscar Juste, SVP of Global Sales, stated: “ISE is a key opportunity to showcase the impact Ross is having in the Corporate AV and Sports & Entertainment markets. With the launch of Vertex, we demonstrate how organizations can deliver scalable, consistent and immersive live experiences, whether they operate in the corporate world or in sports and entertainment.”

Kevin Cottam, Vice President of Sports & Entertainment, added: “Audiences expect more immersive experiences than ever. Vertex unifies video, audio, lighting and automation into a single platform, unlocking greater creative freedom while simplifying even the most complex productions.”

With this presentation at ISE 2026, Ross Video reinforced its expansion into experiential technologies, positioning Vertex as an integrating platform capable of simplifying daily operations while enhancing creativity in large-scale immersive environments.
