Robe embraced
the 18th AES Brasil Expo 2014 staged over three days at the Expo
Center Norte in Sao Paulo featuring 70 plus exhibitors displaying their latest
technologies.
Robe and local
distributor Newart presented the latest and most popular Robe products on an
impressive booth, showcasing the Brazilian debut of the CycFX 8 which drew the
attention of many visitors from the show and events industry.
The CycFX 8 is
a 1000 mm moving linear strip with 8 individually controlled 15W RGBW LED
modules. It has a fully adjustable zoom from 8° to 67° and a very fast 270º
tilt movement which can be precision indexed or programmed to produce rapid
sweeping movements.
Also new in the
Brazilian market was the new ParFect – an
LED source ACL-style beam at an affordable price
and made in Europe. Robe’s ParFect is a static version
of the very successful LEDBeam 100 and
retains all key features including both CMY & RGBW colour control, tungsten emulation, zone FX, selectable and variable colour
temperatures and a really powerful, punchy 7° beam.
Francisco
Pinheiro, CEO of Newart said, “Although Brazil is going through a delicate but
exciting situation with the 2014 Soccer World Cup starting in June and the
presidential election in October, the tradeshow was great for us! We saw many
clients and friends and the CycFX 8 was a great success!”
So much so that
they actually sold all the CycFX 8s off the booth at the end of the exhibition,
and there are also many other clients awaiting the arrival of more fixtures to
place new orders!
Harry von den
Stemmen, Robe’s International Sales Director, states “It’s my first time at
this AES Expo and the two first days were very busy! Our distributor produced a
fantastic looking booth, we had numerous meetings and saw many lighting
designers and professionals, all indicating the increased positioning of our
brand in Brazil. It’s always good to be here, to see people in person and shake
hands. We are very pleased with the results!”
AES Brasil Expo
included a series of special workshops, tutorials, seminars and debates and was
run in parallel to Lighting Week Brasil which this year presented different
conferences focused on lighting.
Guillermo Traverso, Robe’s Regional Sales Manager for
Latin America, concluded, “The idea of gathering Lighting Week and AES Expo
together was really productive. The result was a mix of the most professional
aspects in audio and lighting. We had a good number of visitors each day and
the local companies are preparing for an eventful June due to the Soccer World
Cup. I think the tradeshow came at exactly the right time”.
