One of the most renowned pop stages in
The Netherlands, Doornroosje in Nijmegen, will open its new premises in
October this year.
The prestigious project encompasses student housing and
the Doornroosje pop venue, comprising of two stages, the main auditorium and
the small auditorium.
Prolyte distributor Controllux was requested to quote for the
complete technical installation, including Prolyte truss, stages and ProLyft hoists.
As part of their meticulous preparation, venue lighting
technician Robbie van Rheen and his colleagues, Ed Spaargaren and Maarten
Verdwaald, came to Prolyte at an early stage, to discuss the ins and outs of
the desired installation. Based on the rock solid advice from both Prolyte and
Controllux, their choice for Prolyte was a well-deliberated one.
For both the main auditorium and the small auditorium a
variety of Prolyte products were selected, like the H40R and H40V truss in
black powder coating, rolling risers from Litedeck and StageDex decks for the
DJ area’s.
Overall, no less than 34 ProLyft Aetos hoists
were installed for all the moving grids, using a combination of the 250kg,
500kg and 1000kg hoists.
Furthermore also Prolyte crowd barriers, H30V truss for
the foyers and Protrac for the main stage were brought in.

Managing director from Doornroosje, Toine Tax, just
awarded as best venue director in the Dutch pop sector expects growth for the
future, based on the enlarged capacity, but also on the planning of quality
acts.
