Pleneo launches a new approach to the deployment and operation of large meeting rooms.

Singapore – Pleneo today announces its launch as a new collaboration technology company introducing a renewed approach to medium and large meeting rooms. While small meeting rooms are now routinely deployed as standard IT endpoints, larger rooms continue to be rolled out on a room-by-room basis, making them harder to deploy, more complex to operate, and increasingly difficult to manage consistently as organizations scale.

Pleneo has been created to address this gap.

Developed by the team behind Xilica, a professional audio brand with 25 years of history and thousands of large rooms deployed worldwide, Pleneo combines deep expertise in complex spaces with a new operating model designed for modern IT and UC environments. Rather than treating each room as a bespoke project, Pleneo focuses on enabling rooms to behave and be managed as a single system, simplifying deployment for IT teams and delivering clearer, more repeatable outcomes for UC and AV channel partners.

At the heart of Pleneo is Room OS, a software-driven operational layer that defines how medium and large meeting rooms are deployed and operated. Room OS combines secure on-device intelligence with cloud orchestration through Pleneo Cloud, enabling zero-touch provisioning of component-based room systems. Audio, video, and room peripherals are integrated into a single manageable environment, delivering consistent, high-quality deployments without manual intervention or room-by-room configuration adjustments.

This approach is anchored by RoomHub, the physical core of the Pleneo room. Originally developed within Xilica and now a central part of the Pleneo platform, RoomHub embeds secure, localized edge intelligence directly in the room while remaining tightly integrated with Pleneo Cloud. By processing audio and video at the edge, RoomHub enables advanced capabilities such as AI-powered AutoDeploy, NoiseSense, machine learning-based dereverberation, video intelligence, and IQ Voice Enhancement, ensuring consistent, high-quality room inputs while maintaining low latency and keeping sensitive data within the local environment.

By standardizing how rooms are deployed, commissioned, and managed, Pleneo removes much of the uncertainty traditionally associated with large room projects. Rooms can be delivered and managed as complete systems rather than collections of individual devices, enabling more predictable outcomes, cleaner handovers, and consistent large-scale deployments across multiple locations.

“Large meeting rooms are no longer special cases,” said James Knight, CEO of Pleneo. “They are increasingly part of the core collaboration environment, and they need to integrate naturally into IT and UC operating models. Pleneo was built to offer a new path: one that makes large rooms easier to deploy, easier to operate, and ready to support the evolving collaboration experience.”

As collaboration platforms increasingly incorporate intelligent assistants and AI-driven workplace capabilities, meeting rooms are becoming critical inputs for how conversations are captured, summarized, and turned into action. In medium and large spaces, the quality and consistency of system inputs—audio, video, and spatial context—directly influence outcomes such as transcription accuracy, speaker attribution, and post-meeting insights. Pleneo is designed to make the delivery of these high-quality inputs viable at scale in complex environments, enabling organizations to adopt intelligent collaboration with confidence and consistency.

Pleneo is designed to be IT-native from day one. Room OS has been developed with enterprise security, scalability, and operational accountability at its core, supporting local data sovereignty and aligning with recognized standards, including SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. This enables organizations and their partners to deploy medium and large rooms with the same level of governance and trust expected of modern enterprise systems.

“As collaboration platforms become smarter, expectations of meeting rooms have changed,” noted Craig Durr, Chief Analyst at The Collab Collective. “Consistent, high-quality room inputs are now critical, especially in medium and large spaces, where variability has historically undermined outcomes. Pleneo is addressing this challenge at the system level, which is exactly what the market needs as organizations seek to scale intelligent collaboration beyond small rooms.”

Pleneo launches with immediate product availability through a global distribution network spanning more than 60 countries, supported by customer success teams across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, India, and Asia.

Pleneo will exhibit at ISE 2026, stand 2-R500.
