Lollapalooza delayed by Nexo STM.

Thanks to the resources of Los
Angeles Musica, there are 90 sets of NEXO STM modular line array in Argentina.
Enough to serve as the delay systems for the main stages of Lollapalooza,
making its debut in Buenos Aires, and attracting huge sprawling crowds of
nearly 70,000 people.

In recent years, Lollapalooza has expanded from its home
base of Chicago, IL and into Santiago, Chile and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Adding Buenos Aires to its enviable touring loop means that Lollapalooza’s
foothold in South America is stronger than ever.

Though the Argentinian version is a bit smaller than its
brothers, with two days and 50 bands, it’s still a massive festival which
attracted more than 65,000 fans, thirsty for a chance to see their favorite
acts from around the globe.  Main headliners included Arcade Fire, Nine
Inch Nails and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, backed up by other strong performers
like Phoenix, the Pixies, Soundgarden and Vampire Weekend.

Los Angeles Musica, the Buenos Aires-based importer of
NEXO systems, worked closely with local rental companies, notably BALS, to put
the new STM modular line array onto its largest festival event in Argentina so
far. NEXO STM main, bass and subbass cabinets were provided for the six
delay towers for the two principal stages, each tower using 9 sets of M46 Main
and B112 Bass cabinets.  In total, this represented a sizeable inventory
of more than 120x STM cabinets (counting the S118 subs also deployed).

Miguel Onorato, CEO of Los Angeles Musica, is a
well-known figure in Latin America professional audio circles. Despite
Argentina’s volatile economic situation, he is expanding the company – centring
all its distribution, retail and rental operations in a new showroom/warehouse
in Buenos Aires, and preparing for further investment in NEXO’s flagship PA
technology. This successful family business is now in its third
generation, with son Martin Onorato taking primary responsibility for large
events like Lollapalooza and a remarkable concert by leading Argentian rock
star Indio Solari, attended by over 200,000 people.
