LD Systems and Gobos do Brasil, a commitment that resonates with strength.

With almost 25 years of experience, Gobos do Brasil has established itself as one of the leading references in the audiovisual market, and its partnership with LD Systems — a brand of the German group Adam Hall — reinforces a shared vision: offering professional audio solutions that combine quality, design, and accessibility.

A story of growth and trust
“We started almost 25 years ago manufacturing gobos, those small pieces with light images that are placed inside moving fixtures,” recalls Esteban Risso, director of the company.

That initial specialization quickly led them to export to Italy, the United States, and China, consolidating their name in the technical sector. Over time, the company diversified its activity, incorporating lighting equipment, sound, and, more recently, solutions from LD Systems.

The leap toward professional audio came with a brand that perfectly aligned with its philosophy. “I have always loved LD Systems products. They have very good quality, very well-developed products in Germany, and a fair price. That relationship between quality and cost is excellent,” says Risso. That combination became the foundation of their growth in the Brazilian market: “Before, people thought that to have a quality product you had to invest a lot of money. LD Systems changed that paradigm.”

Today, Gobos distributes practically the entire LD Systems line in Brazil and has succeeded in positioning the brand strongly in key sectors such as rental, fixed installation, churches, theaters, and event centers. “We have clients who seek simple, robust, and durable solutions. LD equipment not only sounds good, it also has incredible design and zero problems in the field. It is a brand that works.”

In addition to its commercial work, Gobos do Brasil has focused on technical training and user experience. “In our showroom we do workshops, trainings, and constant demos. It is a training space where clients can test and understand the why of everything,” he highlights. This educational approach, together with the brand’s reputation, generated sustained growth also driven by word-of-mouth: “The market moves a lot through recommendations. Those who try LD Systems recommend it.”

LD Systems: German engineering, professional DNA
The relationship between Gobos do Brasil and LD Systems began just over five years ago, driven by the search for high-quality, reliable, and accessible professional audio. And Esteban sums it up clearly: “We started about five or six years ago. LD Systems has a sound that captivates and a price that is very convenient. In short, an excellent benefit ratio between quality and price,” he states.

This conviction was the starting point to officially bring the brand to Brazil and build a solid presence from scratch. “Since we brought the brand here to the country, we started marketing and outreach work that today is consolidated with technical content videos on YouTube that work very well for us. It is the best way to bring the brand closer to the people, in a real way, showing the products,” he recalls.

Today, that effort already has visible results: more and more professional installations, corporate events, shows, and clients trust the performance of its systems.

Part of the Adam Hall group, LD Systems has consolidated itself globally through its focus on innovation and technical efficiency. Its catalog includes everything from portable systems such as the MAUI series — a reference in active column systems — to high-performance modular configurations such as the CURV 500 system and the Stinger, ICOA, DAVE, and Mix lines.

In Brazil, these products found fertile ground both in the entertainment sector and in the corporate and institutional sectors. “The MAUI 5, 28, and 44 lines, the 8, 10, 12, and 15-inch monitors, and the MAILA system have had impressive success. They work very well and offer real solutions to those who need professional performance with portability,” explains Risso.

The arrival of LD Systems in Brazil not only expanded Gobos’ offerings: it changed the logic of the market. “Before having LD, many people thought that to have a high-quality product you needed a lot of money. And with LD we changed that concept,” says Esteban, adding: “That ‘change of paradigm’ redefined local perception of what it means to invest in professional audio.”

Today, Gobos works with practically the entire range of the German brand, from its portable solutions to the complete line of 8, 10, 12, and 15-inch monitors, which “sell a lot because they are incredible, they work very well.” He also highlights the MAILA system, LD Systems’ most advanced modular line array: “They are a huge success in Brazil… incredible how they perform, really very well.”

Growth did not remain only in the mobile or events sector: Gobos boosted LD Systems’ fixed installation line and the market responded. “Little by little, we have achieved important projects. Churches, theaters, event centers, and corporate spaces adopted the brand for a clear reason: professional quality, excellent design, and total reliability. And in rental, the impact was just as strong. Companies found in LD simple, good, and very beautiful solutions… and that work. They don’t break,” he emphasizes.

Robustness and design make the difference, to the point that Esteban states without hesitation: “LD is zero problems.” Thus, having local technical support, specialized assistance, and proven real-world use is what strengthens the brand. A way of working that not only generates sales, but community.

Gobos do Brasil also built a key space for the technical growth of its clients: the showroom. A meeting point where hands-on experience is essential. “There we are always doing tests and demos of LD. In truth, it is not only a showroom, it is a technical training point, where we do workshops, trainings, and that is very good because clients can test, understand why and what each thing is for,” says Esteban Risso proudly.

This close and educational approach, together with the natural exchange between clients, made a difference in the market: “Here in Brazil we call it word-of-mouth, and that has worked very, very well.”

“LD Systems for Gobos is present and future. We have a relationship of total trust and we know we will continue serving the pro audio market in Brazil with solutions of quality and fair price,” he concludes, reaffirming that the commitment to excellence is the driving force of this alliance.

A philosophy that runs through its own history: what began as a gobo factory is now a company of comprehensive solutions, guided by the same commitment and passion that brought it to where it is today.
