For the
first time ever a band of 1,200 musicians performed before an enthusiastic
audience in a concert worthy to enter the Guinness Book of Records.
After the
epic of the first Rockin’ 1000, Fabio Zaffagnini tries again and it’s still a
success; The event feedback will be viral again.
Because this
time it is not about convincing the Foo Fighters to play in Cesena. This time
1200 musicians from all over the world have shown that a shared desire knows no
obstacles, and that the passion for rock music unites people who are otherwise
different from each other. A message that acquires a deeper meaning in a time
like the present.
On the lawn
of the Manuzzi stadium in Cesena, Italy, the 1200 musicians played a real
concert before an audience of 13,000 (the tickets were sold out).
A thrilling
start with Bitter Sweet Symphony of Verve in a continuous crescendo through
Beatles, Rolling Stones and Bowie, until a torrid final Led Zeppelin medley.
In short, a
great performance, thanks to a perfect technical organization.
DTS was
there with over 400 moving lights, at the very centre of the beautiful light
show created by LD Claudio Tappi, who has transformed this unique event into an
extraordinary visual feast, in the best traditions of the great rock concerts.
The EVOs
were arranged in backlight on a large matrix; The RAPTORs were positioned along
the perimeter around the musicians and on the trusses; The NRG 1201 units
colored the audience.
It was an
honor for DTS to light such an extraordinary event that has already entered
into history; we feel proud for the support we gave to the success of
Rockin’1000 ‘That’s live’.
The staging
of the concert was made by B-HAPPY (technical sponsor of the event), directed
by Fabrizio Persico, who has faced this challenge with an involvement that went
way beyond the normal rental company work.
