The 1,000 musicians playing in unison impeccably \’Learn
to Fly\’, in a video wonderfully filmed and post-produced in record time, are
the icon of a positive will, that knows no obstacles when it comes to achieving
a shared goal. The video appeal of \’Rockin\’1000\’ has exceeded its goal (get the
Foo Fighters to play in Cesena in their next Italian tour), becoming in a matter
of hours a viral phenomenon: 3.5 million views, 250 articles in the
international press . A result of this magnitude was not granted, but quality
always pays off; Italian genius and creativity are stronger than the budget,
and the passion exceeds the technique. Everything went perfectly thanks to an
organization second to none.
D.T.S. was there. It was an honor for us to be involved
in the craziest thing that could be requested to our products: beat time to
\’Learn to Fly\’ as the song was interpreted by a thousand young players. The
Conductor Mario Sabiu, on top of his tower, led a thousand musicians with the
support of 12 x NRG 1201 LED projectors. The NRG 1201 units, controlled by a
click from the main console, beat with metronomic precision the time of the
song, projecting green/red/red/red color sequences, that could be clearly seen
by all musicians in daylight. A perfect interpretation. We feel proud of the
contribution we have given to the success of \’Rockin\’1000\’.
